We've tried to answer some common questions you may have prior to booking below. But if we have missed something, feel free to contact us directly.

What is the payment policy?For independent travellers, complete payment is required at the time of booking.

What happens when I make my online booking for a food tour?When you complete your food tour booking on our secure website you will receive an automated order confirmation containing your food tour booking details and meeting point information. On your credit card statement your purchase will show up as walk eat london.

What is the guides tipping policy?While tips are not obligatory they may be mentioned by your guide and are greatly appreciated. They will gratefully receive any gratuity either in cash or by card on the day.

The day I want to book doesn’t seem to be available. I see a call or email to book message. What does that mean?It could be that the tour is sold out or that we don’t have a tour open for bookings. In either case, please send us an email and we can see if we can open another departure for your booking.

Do I have to book in advance? Can I just arrive and pay cash?Tickets for all tours must be purchased on our website. Generally, food tours can be booked up to 24 hours before the tour departs! Walk ups or cash sales are not accepted.

What is included in the price?All food & drink on the tours. Our supper clubs provide aperitif drinks, but you are encouraged to select wine to purchase for your meal during the evening. While not obligatory, tips are greatly appreciated. Your hosts will accept either cash or card on the day.

Can your tours accommodate dietary restrictions or allergies?This varies tour-by-tour but we absolutely try to provide dietary alternatives where we can. We take food allergies very seriously and request that you provide us with those persons with allergies at the time of booking. Because we work with independent restaurants and food suppliers, we cannot control the potential for cross-contamination and cannot accept responsibility for potential risk of allergen exposure.

Is there alcohol?Beer and wine are a part of many of our tours, and as such will be served at a certain point. Do feel free to ask for a soft drink alternative if you prefer not to drink alcohol. For children, soft drink alternatives will be available.

How much food is there on your food tours?A lot! Over the course of our tours you will stop at multiple locations with tastings in each. This generally equates to a large lunch or dinner. You will not leave hungry, we promise!

Is there a maximum tour sizeOur tours are designed for a maximum of 12 people, which allows to connect with each of our guests and also provide the best service we can.

Are your tours accessible to those with wheelchairs?This very much depends on the tour, so please contact us directly as London can be difficult in certain areas.

How much walking (on average) is involved?Our 5-star rated walking tours are typically 1 to 1.5 miles (1.6 - 2.41KM). For private tours, we can adjust this depending on your private tour needs.

Any age restrictions?No, we welcome foodies of all ages! However, our alcoholic beverage tours require that guests show a photo ID at the beginning of the tour and must be of legal drinking age which is 18yrs old in the UK.

How do I cancel or reschedule my tour?You can cancel or reschedule your tour by emailing us at info@walkeatlondon.com. In some cases we may need to charge a rescheduling fee

Where do the tours start?The exact location of the meeting point for your walking food tour or culinary experience will be provided immediately upon booking (and we’ll also send a reminder a few days before the tour is to depart). Our tour is held within easy reach of all modes of public transport.

How long do tours run for?The duration of our walking food tours is approximately 3.5 to 4 hours, with a 15-minute leeway on either side. You can find specifics on each tour’s page.

Are there bathrooms available?Yes, bathrooms are available at several of the tasting locations.

Are your tours only available in English?At present, our tours are only led in English.

Are walking tours held in bad weather?All of our tours go ahead – rain, hail or shine! In the case of rain, we are able to go inside many of the tasting locations and there are other places where we will be able to stay dry. We kindly ask you to look at the weather forecast and dress appropriately.

How can I contact my host?Details will be provided on your email confirmation, or feel free to contact Dan or Darren via the web-site contact page.

Is the premises licensed?The venue has a 5 star Environmental Health rating, as well as being licensed to sell alcohol.

How do I get to the location?You will be met by your host outside Finsbury Park Tube station (City North Entrance). You will then be taken on a Red London bus to the location.

What's included in the cooking classes?All food and equipment is provided for each guest.

What is the maximum number of people in the cooking classes & Supper clubs?There is a maximum of 6 people, to ensure a familial atmosphere.

Is the supper club and Cooking class in the same venue?Yes, there will be a small break after the cooking class, but as you will be in someone's genuine home, there will be areas for you to relax and meet each other.

Will alcohol be served?Yes there will be tasters at the beginning and end of the meal, but wine for the main meal, can be purchased on the day.

What is a Private TourPrivate tours are for groups larger than our maximum regular tours that want to tour together, groups that require a specific time or folks that are looking to experience the tours on their own. Many times these tours can be curated to a group’s specific needs so please ask, as we want to make your experience memorable!

Is there a minimum number of to take a private tour?No, we can take 1 person on a tour if desired

How far in advance do we need to select a date for a private tour?Feel free to request a date and if we can accommodate we will. If a tour is booked within 2 weeks of tour date, payment will be due in full at time of booking and will be non-refundable.
